Dylan's Birthday Party

Dylan LOVES monkeys, so he wanted a "monkey" themed b-day party. This is his best monkey face, and he thinks when he makes it in the mirror, he looks just like one! Too cute!
I surprised Dylan by making him his very own monkey cake. It took me about 3 hours to finish it, but he loved it...so it was definitely worth it! You can't tell very well from this picture, but the monkey even has spikey hair on the top of his head...just like Dylan's!
A few of his friends playing a game called  "monkey, monkey, lion."
So, when we planned Dylan's b-day party with all of his friends, we decided to have it at the park. I knew Jared had to work and wouldn't be able to be there for his one, which wasn't a big deal, (we already had our family party earlier). The weather forecast looked great for the day we picked, and the whole week previous had been really warm,  so I let Dylan invite as many friends as he wanted, even though I knew I would be watching them alone, I figured I could handle it...they would all be outside and have a blast playing at the park together. Well the morning of the party...it began to snow!!!! We played one short game outside and then moved everyone in because it was freezing! I ended up with 22 wild-and-crazy kids in my house for almost 2 hours straight...let me tell ya...that was an adventure!!! I have never seen my house look so torn apart! After they all left, all I could do was clear a little space, and sit on my kitchen floor and laugh, as I listened to Dylan tell me, "We had so much fun, next year we need to invite even more friends!" Here's a picture of most of the kids (minus a few who are off playing somewhere in my house)!!!
