~Happy Holidays from the Larson Family~
Words cannot express how grateful we are to have each and every one of you in our lives!
2012 was a GREAT year for us. Not much happened {wink*}!
It's not like we moved to a new state practically overnight, or walked away from the only life we'd known for the last 18 years....'cause that would be crazy, right?
Well, at least we can laugh about it now. And in light of this new adventure--we thought we'd share a few things about our NEW life in Arizona......
Where to start? Well, down here it's soooo cold right now, that on some days.......we actually have to WEAR socks!
Oh, you should feel soooo bad for us :)
Here's a side-by-side comparison of Christmas last year...and this year....
The climate definitely takes some getting used to. These cotton fields are probably the closet thing we'll see to snow this year......
Also...in the summer time, cold water does NOT exist--ANYWHERE! {Including public water fountains and all tap water} We gagged for about 2 months trying to brush our teeth in warmish-hot water.
Speaking of water, I do feel a teensy bit ashamed to admit that I ever complained about the taste of Utah water {LOL, except you lucky Logan residents, who suck!}
Arizona water is a billion times worst. No exaggeration, it tastes like toilet water {don't ask me how I know!}
But in the end, it's all okay. Jared did thank me for being so picky about my water and buying bottled, because twice now....we've received notices that our house water is contaminated and unsafe to drink. Ummm....we're still in America, right?
We've also met some great new friends, who've made themselves right at home. They're a little on the scorpion side, and for some reason, don't seem to understand they're not welcome in my bedroom.
Jared seems to think I attract them, since after all my zodiac is a Scorpio. And, the boys have no fear when it comes to them...they seem pretty certain that if they were stung, it would create some scorpio-man genetic cross breed, and give them a whole new set of super powers.
Right.
Well Lily and I might just have a great laugh watching that one!
Aside from walking out your door in the middle of August, and feeling as if you've walked into an open oven, and might-just-burn-up-in-a-matter-of-seconds, we really are loving it here!
All joking aside, this move has been SOOOO good for us. We are so grateful to have a fresh start, in a totally new place. It's given us the chance to completely redefine what we believe in, how we want to raise our kids, and what we want to do with our lives.
We've met some incredible new friends, who have tipped our lives upside down with their love and laughter...{and most importantly, so have our kiddos!}
And hands down, NOTHING beats an Arizona sky!
Our journey this year has been amazing, complicated, wonderful, difficult, and incredibly-worth-it!!
"Weeping may come for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
Wishing you all an AMAZING start to this New Year!Love,Jared, Lisa, Seth, Dylan and Lily
