S, D, J, and L doing a dinosaur excavation kit that D got from school. He had a school fundraiser through Usborne books and he won for the most minutes of reading time! He had 640 minutes in two weeks!

Still digging!
S excited that J is home from work and able to dig for bones with them...they have been waiting for him to get home all day!
Almost done =)

We had a couple rolls of extra stickers at work that my boss T sent home with me to give to the kids. I expected most of them to end up plastered all over my walls, but they found another use for them. Thanks T they had a lot of fun with them!

What a mess! But well worth all the fun!

S had a HUGE week at school!
He won out of all the 1st and 2nd graders, 1st place for the dance competition on Valentine's day, and earlier that week they had pajama day, and he was voted on by the whole school as the Winner for "the coolest pajamas." Maybe it's because he wore his super-awesome Transformer jammies.
On Valentine's day we had a huge party for the kids. We decorated the whole dining room with balloons and all kinds of decore' that the kids had made, and had little gifts set out on every plate. I made their favorite "red" meal...spaghetti! It was really cute, but of course when we went to take pictures, the camera battery was dead! We read them the story of St. Valentine and the reason we celebrate such a special day. We had a great little party...Maybe next year we'll catch it all on film!

With his daddy's help, S won the Pinewood derby in scouts! He was so excited! He wanted his car to look like a Tiger, so he picked out the paint, the numbers, all of it...it was awesome to watch him design it all on his own. The first car they made actually broke the week before the race, so this one was made at the last minute and we didn't think we even had a chance. They did several races to determine the winner and each time it won! The best part was watching D, every time it won, he was so proud of S that he would jump up and down and yell out, "oh ya baby, that's my brother!" Everyone around us was laughing so hard. We had a great night!

S and his award for 1st place.
