J had to work New Years Eve night, but the kids and I had a big party. We cuddled up and watched movies, and made lots of treats. Of course we watched the count down, but were mostly watching for Uncle S to see if they showed him on TV by chance...but no luck. For New Years Day we asked the kids if there was anything special they wanted to do, considering they were all going back to school the next day. S said he wanted to do "nothing at all." In view of the fact that the last few months have been so hectic for all of us, we all thought that was a great idea! We stayed home in our jammies all day and just played games and had fun together. S called it "Peace Day." It was a great way to start the New Year!
